SERVICES

The GVLRA offers a wide range of practical labour relations expertise to meet the needs of our current and future members.
Some of those services include:

  • Collective bargaining.
  • Acting as counsel in interest arbitration.
  • Acting as an advocate in rights arbitrations when the subject matter is of particular importance to GVLRA members.
  • Providing advice on the interpretation and application of the terms of various collective agreements.
  • Providing accurate data and research on labour relations topics for member agencies.
  • Administering benefit trusts.
  • Providing training and education on labour relations matters.
  • Advocating for fair and balanced labour legislation.
  • Providing financial impact analysis.
  • Strengthening the GVLRA's bargaining position by coordinating its objectives with other public agencies that are not
    members but have similar interests.

Above all, we understand that public sector labour relations have a very human element, involving complex and multi-layer relationships between the stakeholders. That is why we strive to always maintain a positive and constructive dialogue with our member agencies and with the labour organizations that represent our workforce.
